FROM
BRAZIL

TO AOTEAROA

DSC02584.jpg

We’re Eduardo & Daniel — life partners and co-founders of Purple Vibes Açaí. Originally from Brazil, we moved to New Zealand in 2018 and quickly fell in love with the country and its people. But there was one thing we always carried with us — a deep feeling of saudade.

Saudade is a Portuguese word that doesn’t translate easily. It’s a nostalgic longing — a mix of love, memory, and homesickness. For us, that feeling was tied to açaí: its flavour, the culture around it, and the energy it brings.

In 2024, we decided to bring that feeling to Aotearoa.
What started as a dream turned into reality in 2025, when our vibrant food trailer hit the road.

Whether we’re working side-by-side in the trailer or creating new toppings after hours,
everything we do is built with love and purpose.

WHY AÇAÍ?

Purple Vibes was born from our love for this delicious superfruit and a desire to build a bridge between Brazil and New Zealand. Açaí isn’t just good for you — it’s full of life, culture, and emotion. Every bowl and smoothie we serve reflects our roots, our passion, and that familiar feeling of saudade — a little piece of home in every scoop.

ON THE MOVE

Our mobile trailer allows us to pop up at local events, markets, and festivals — bringing refreshing açaí straight to communities around Auckland. Whether you're after a healthy treat, something vibrant after the gym, or just want to try something new, we’ve got you covered.

We can’t wait to share our saudade with you.
